Raft is a fun little survival simulator where players need to build and upgrade their raft by gathering and collecting debris from the ocean and adding them to their raft appropriately. With just the right stroke of luck, you will be able to manage to upgrade your raft just good enough so that you can set sail for the horizon but be on the lookout for deadly sharks because they definitely are on the lookout for you. That’s when you decide to scavenge the nearby ocean for equipments and use them to upgrade your raft in order to survive the ordeal. You are stranded in the middle of the ocean with just a raft by your side and your primal instincts to guide you but the chances of survival seem really bleak. At the end of the 7 th day of survival, hordes of zombies attack the shelter constructed by the player and if the defenses do not hold up, the player gets quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies, thus ending the game. A day and night cycle ensures that there are ‘safe’ moments as zombies are relatively less dangerous during the day. The player is dropped randomly in a procedurally generated world and now he must hunt for supplies in order to craft necessary items that are required for survival. Oh and did we mention that the game contains zombies? War has left the land extremely volatile and zombies have made the world their home living off of humans and fending off any attempts at rescue of the survivors.
There is no real motive in the game other than escape and you must do everything you can to survive in a world without sustenance. 7 Days to Die (2013)ħ Days to Die is a survival simulator that is set in a world ravaged by the third world war and the remaining survivors are facing an extremely hostile environment. Indie games have been pretty good lately and we are doing our part to support the developers of this one as this does seem like a fun little game. The game also features a multiplayer mode where you can scavenge the earth for its last resources with the help of a friend in a co-op setting. You have the option of building and crafting your own little settlement that will become increasingly essential for your survival.
